The two-day conference is made up of five sessions and three workshops, focusing on topics such as making AV heritage accessible, curating content to embed it in a meaningful context, and trans-media story-telling. The full programme can be found here.
The event can be attended for free, so make sure you register soon.
Why are we there?
The conference provides an excellent opportunity to discuss the challenges audiovisual archives and broadcasters face to make available online their AV collections. Among the speakers are the Program Manager for the Google Cultural Institute James Davis, the documentary filmmaker and writer Peter B. Kaufman who is also teaching at the Columbia University's Center for Teaching and Learning, and Dean Jansen, co-founder of Amara.
Deutsche Welle is a member of the EUscreenXL consortium that is part of the Europeana family. DW will be represented by Tim Koch and Stephan Lamm from the DW Innovation team. We are looking forward to seeing you there.
