Why are we there?
Short answer: It's one of those must-attend events (300+ speakers from 50 countries, 700+ sessions/talks/workshops). Longer answer: We'll exchange ideas with colleagues from all over the world, and DW (Research & Cooperation projects and other departments) will extensively contribute to the festival's program again:
- Our Wilfried Runde will give a lightning talk on innovation by public service media news labs.
- Our Jochen Spangenberg will be part of a tech & social media called Automating verification? The role of technology in the verification process: status, activities and challenges.
- Head of Digital Programming Ellen Schuster will talk about DW's experiments with Facebook Live.
- Managing Director Guido Baumhauer will present 5 ways of embracing digital in legacy media.
