euBusinessGraph: Foster and Improve Digital Business Storytelling

Q: Why is it currently so cumbersome to work with company data? A: The European data landscape for company registries is highly fragmented and heterogenous. Getting data – especially across borders – is usually expensive, time consuming and error-prone. euBusinessGraph, an ambitious new EU project, is trying to change the status quo.

Led by SINTEF, Norway’s largest independent research institute, ten European institutions have teamed up to establish a business graph covering all EU countries.

The project’s aim is to develop a system of shared identifiers for companies — and thus make it a lot easier to effectively search for company data in European markets. The proposed data marketplace will be scalable and customisable to various products and services.
