Funding Opportunity: AI4Media Open Call
,AI4media, a Pan-European network dedicated to advancing (trusted) AI technology in the media sector, recently started its first open call. There's a total budget of €500.000 which will be split between applicants. Single entities and organizations are invited to send in their proposals until December 1st.
Submissions must address clearly defined challenges (C), either within the research (R) or application (A) track of the call. Almost all of them are very interesting for technologists in journalism: RC3 is about drone cinematography, RC4 focuses on legally sound fake news detection, AC1 deals with authentication/legitimization of challenged content, AC2 wants to navigate multi-perspectivity in media heritage collections, and AC3 asks applicants to dig further into archives with the help of AI.
Winners of the call will not only receive equity-free funding, but also substantial pro bono support, i.e.: market-driven services, business support, research coaching, and promotion.
