Meet Us @ Digital Media Asia 2018

When: 07-08 November 2018 Where: The Mira Hong Kong, Hong Kong ?? **What is it? Digital Media Asia is Asia's largest digital media conference addressing digital revenue, technology, and innovation. The three day event brings together media executives and experts not only from the region, but from across the globe. Comprising a conference, a technology and services expo, the 9th Asian Digital Media Awards and several masterclasses, the event provides valuable case studies, best practices and key takeaways for editorial and strategic decision-making.

The presentations and discussions will focus around a set of ten topics, among them important evergreens like "transformation and business models" and "digital subscriptions", but also hot topics like "blockchain business cases" and "engagement and personalisation".

Why are we there?

As WAN-IFRA states on the event's website, Digital Media Asia is "the smartest investment to get up-to-date in the industry's latest media trends" and a great place with "unique social events designed to make invaluable contacts". In other words, it is an excellent event to broaden our horizon and to network and connect, especially outside of our region and usual area of cooperations.

In addition, we are invited to share an insight look into how innovation works at Deutsche Welle. Our colleague Tilman Wagner will talk about our experiences and inner workings, highlighting two examples of our project portfolio. One will be CPN, where we develop innovative personalisation strategies for the news sector, the other Truly Media, our cooperation with ATC to fight misinformation online. For a close-up on these two project's including a live demo of Truly Media, you're welcome to stop by at ATC's booth in the exhibition area.

Tilman will be available for questions before, during and after the event. Don't hesitate to contact him (via Twitter or email), he's happy to discuss our work with you. And don't miss his talk on Friday afternoon–he'll actually have the the last word at the conference.

You can follow the event live on Twitter (#DMAHK18) and connect to us via @DW_Innovation for more insights.
