What is it?
FIAT/IFTA is the international federation of television archives. With over 250 members it promotes co-operation amongst television archives, multimedia and audiovisual archives and libraries.
“Just think of all the TV images you have in your mind when you think about the history of past half of a century. Whenever something outstanding was happening, television was usually there. And not only for the political agenda, it was also there to entertain us, comfort us, make us laugh, cry, angry or happy.”
FIAT/IFTA creates a forum for preservation and promotion of audiovisual heritage.
Why are we there?
The AXES Project develops tools that provide various types of users with new engaging ways to interact with audiovisual libraries, helping them discover, browse, navigate, search and enrich archives. Deutsche Welle is a user partner and contributes to news use cases, user validation and dissemination. Keep up to date about the AXES Project and follow us on Twitter!
Meet us at FIAT / IFTA! We are looking forward to get in contact with you.
