When: April 5-9, 2017
Where: Perugia, Italy
What is it? A Mecca for journalists, journalisms students, media scholars, and media agencies who convene to discuss new ideas, concepts, and tools that can improve their work. The festival and its keynotes and workshops are free of charge.
Why are we there? Because it’s a must go for media innovators and an excellent opportunity to network. Because the setting is divine. And because dw_innovation will contribute in several ways:
- Wilfried Runde will be part of a Google DNI panel that has accepted the challenge of making sense of content in a post truth world.
- Julia Bayer, Ruben Bouwmeester and Jochen Spangenberg will introduce Truly Media, a new UGC verfication tool co-developed by dw_innovation.
- Mirko Lorenz will join a session dedicated to global data journalism and where it’s heading. Speaking of which: Don’t forget to take the Global Data Journalism Survey and make sure to contribute to the #PerugiaPledge.
Other team members will be on location as well. Let’s get in touch!
The official hashtag for this year’s festival is: #ijf17
