When: 29 June, 2017
Where: Hamburg, Germany
What is it?
The News Impact Summit (NIS) is a series of events organized by the European Journalism Centre and Google News Lab. Its overall aim is to “bring together international media experts with local news communities to focus on how new technology, tools and methods can change the way journalists work in the newsroom.” The upcoming meeting in Hamburg has adopted the motto “Truth, Tech & Community: Building Bridges to Foster Journalism Innovation”.
Why are we there?
We’ve been asked to present Truly Media, the collaborative verification platform we’re developing together with ATC, with support from Google’s Digital News Initiative (DNI).
The Truly Media session is scheduled for 14:55h and will be hosted by our colleague Jochen Spangenberg and Nikos Sarris of ATC.
We also attend to learn from others and do a lot of networking.
P.S.: DW is furthermore represented by Esra Dogramaci who will host a session on social media analytics.
