When: November 19h and 20th
What is it? Revision Summit is a place “where future technologies meet social change”. Policy makers, entrepreneurs, investors, and activists will discuss game changers like blockchain or artificial intelligence (AI) and try to answer the following question:
“How do we reach a more human-centric and purpose driven society in the digital age?”
Revision is a non-profit organization dedicated to “promoting education in the field of future technologies, advancing an open knowledge culture, supporting public discourse on technological innovation and fostering the participation of citizens in shaping the(ir) technological future.”
Why are we there? DW is a partner in the H2020 blockchain project Bloomen. In the scope of a Revision summit workshop (scheduled for November 20th, 9:30-12:00h), our colleague Birgit Gray will discuss “blockchain and the media”. Her focus will be on the overall impact of blockchain tech on our sector, the current market status, blockchain-based news initiatives, and Bloomen and its use cases.
A full agenda of the summit is available here.
For general orientation:
Day 1 will see co-creators hosting their own events (lots of workshops and discussions).
Day 2 is a conference day featuring keynotes, interdisciplinary panels, and performance art across four topical tracks: democratic values, data privacy, social security, and economic growth. Interactive roundtables and workshops will make sure communities are able to connect.
The official hashtag of the event is #revision18.
