Meet Us @ Scoopcamp 2015

When: 01 October 2015 Where: Hamburg, Germany–Kehrwieder Theater What is it? Organized by the media network next Media Hamburg and German news agency dpa, Scoopcamp 2015 is an event which draws hundreds of journalists, innovaters and media experts from all over Europe.

It consists of three parts: The conference day will begin with various talks, followed by pitches created during a hackathon. The afternoon is covered by workshops, covering and discussing on-going trends and current topics evolving around editorial processes, programming, and product development. Topics like VR journalism, social media and new ways of storytelling will be the focus in these workshops.

Why are we there?

DW's Innovation Projects team has partnered with the organizers again and will play an active role throughout the whole day. Birgit Gray and Linda Rath-Wiggins organize a workshop called "Innovation in News: is Virtual Reality the Next Big Thing?" discussing in how far VR will play a role in journalism's future. Furthermore, DW Innovation's Cosmin Cabulea is involved in another workshop called "Big Data im Newsroom". Last but not least, DW Innovation's Mirko Lorenz is leading the DW team for a hackathon.

We are very much looking foward to going there and we hope to see you there (Hashtag: #scoop15).
