LIMES workshop recap: The core concepts of live streaming, ideal formats, and next level news TV webcasting

Last month, the LIMES consortium met for a workshop at the DW Lab in Berlin. Our goal (apart from discussing the status of the project): to try and create a basic concept for a new (augmented) live streaming format that would appeal to a modern news organisation – and to once again discuss the key question what live streaming is actually about. InVID (In Video Veritas): The Tool Collection

The EU co-funded InVID project (2016-2019) focussed on the algorithm-supported analysis and verification of videos, something its predecessor REVEAL wasn’t able to cover. Not only did we learn a lot about manipulated video content and ways to detect it in the course of the InVID effort, the consortium also managed to create a number of useful tools for the international verification community.
