Update 13/12: To make sure #VRcalendar still runs on standard mobile devices and with slower internet connections, we decided to split it. There are now two parts (= two different links) with 12 windows each:
Part 1 covers December 1st – 12th (original link).
Part 2 covers December 13th – 24th (new link).
In the scope of the DNI project “Fader”, partners Vragments, DW Innovation, Euronews, and numerous members of the international VR community, most notably VR/AR expo organizers DIGILITY, launch their first VR/360 advent calendar today. The experimental Xmas experience will eventually feature 24 immersive stories/scenes and can be viewed on a wide range of devices. (more…)

No worries: The summer break is long over. It only took us a while to write a thorough Fader update post. Because everybody in the consortium (DW Innovation, Euronews, Vragments) has been really busy.
We – or more precisely: the alpha geeks among us — gave the editor/platform a couple of cool new features. We also attended and/or hosted several interesting VR/360 events in the last couple of months. And we made sure Fader won’t run out of fresh content anytime soon.

What is it?
VR Pop-up Week = seven days full of virtual reality madness in the heart of Kreuzberg. There will be (spontaneous) workshops, showcases, beer, and nerd talk. VR Pop-up Week is very informal and free of charge. This is a VR playground.
VR Conference = a one day event that brings together all kinds of VR enthusiasts (journalists, storytellers, media innovators, techies) to share experiences and seek inspiration. This is much more structured and focused, and you will need to purchase a ticket. (more…)
